Tracey

Meet Tracey Long, Integrative and Functional Nutritionist

I would be honored to assist you on your journey toward health. Why? Because your life is valuable. We are all here for a purpose. We all have a life mission. We are better able to reach our highest potential and live with vitality when we feel our best.  I am passionate about helping people use nutrition and lifestyle changes to feel better and improve quality of living. I have experience working with health challenges such as autoimmune, neurodegenerative and gastrointestinal conditions, anxiety, cancer, diabetes, chronic headaches/migraines, fibromyalgia and others.

I also enjoy a new area of interest called Personalized Nutrition, which involves using genetic and lifestyle information to personalize a nutrition plan for my clients. I am trained in integrative and functional medical nutrition therapy, a specialty area of nutrition. This means I work with you to get to the root cause of your health problems and together we use nutrition to encourage the body to fight inflammation, pain, anxiety and chronic disease. The foundation of my nutrition work is encouraging a whole foods diet that is anti-inflammatory, using local food when able, teaching clients how to prepare food and adding supplements if needed.

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” Hippocrates, 450 B.C.

I have 25 years of experience working as a fitness and nutrition specialist. In the past ten years I have added specialty training in stress management and completed a certification program to work as a yoga instructor. I believe in practicing what I preach, optimizing health and vitality by optimizing lifestyle, especially through food, exercise, sleep, stress management, nurturing relationships and spending time in nature.

I also know what it is like to live with chronic disease.  I have an autoimmune condition called celiac disease. I manage this condition daily with my lifestyle. I have improved my ability to absorb and utilize nutrients despite the fact that my own body attacks my intestinal lining. In doing this I have improved my energy, cognition, joint health and vitality. I have decreased fatigue, foggy brain, stomach upset and pain, and joint pain. I have found hope.

I now work with individuals and small groups using my cutting edge training to personalize nutrition and wellness programs in-person or via Zoom video conferencing. I also am available for guest speaking on many topics related to personalized nutrition, growing healthy food and lifestyle. I help empower people with tools to take personal responsibility for improved health and refer to other healthcare providers when needed. I would be honored to be part of your healthcare team. My life has been a blessing that I hope I can use to help people! You can read some  testimonials from clients HERE.

I would be happy to schedule a free 20 minute introductory phone call to discuss your top health concerns and determine if we can work together to improve your health.  You can schedule the free 20 minute introductory phone call from my Contact page.
